In the HEAT...

Well i can now say that i have tried Hot Yoga...and i love it! I was kinda nervous going there not knowing what to expect and i had no idea if i could handle the heat or not, but WOW i have to say it was really amazing. I was completely soaked from head to toe by the time i was finished, but i enjoyed every mintue of the ninety that i spent in there!
I was very familiar with some of the moves since i do teach a yoga/pilaties cross type class, but had to try yoga out to see what the buzz was all about.
I left there feeling so warm and stretched and felt like i grew an extra inch or two it was fablous!
I can't wait to get my body back in that heat to do it all over again!!

It is offically one week til christmas eve, and christmas shopping is winding to an end, i have stuff left to buy, but can not find what i want on store shelves :( (my brothers and there outrageous ideas) hahahah
I think i am going to be extra tired on christmas day with all the people coming to my brothers house and i am working nights, so i am not to sure how it is all going to work. I am crossing my fingers that i can sleep for at least 7 hours, cause i am not to sure if i don't sleep that much how i will make it through another shift....i may want to be crawling in to a crib at work to sleep too!!

My Favorite Scene

I recently found the nativity scene i have been looking for, for over a year on ebay! I was so excited when the words popped on the screen telling me that i was the highest bidder and that the snow babies christmas pagent would be mine!

I absoultely fell in love with this nativity when i recieved it in the mail, and now it is set up just under my tv, so each time i walk in the door or am just sitting on the couch i can see it.

I have kinda ventured off and started my own collection as well as adding to the collection that i have started for my mom each year, i can't wait to see what she thinks of her newest additions this year!!

DeCoRaTiNg FuN

I put up my christmas tree the second last weekend in november, had to get a jump start since i work weekends, and things just never get done when i would like them to on days off!! hahaa

This may also be why i haven't been able to get everything done i wanted to for christmas! I kinda took a few weeks off from the whole chrismtas thing, but i did tackle the stores this morning and got a few more things done so i should only have to get a few more things and then i should be done! I know what i want to get, it is just a matter of finding everything!

Tis' the season

Well it is once again christmas time, everyone starts packing the malls to get the sales, people are driving likes assholes cause they can't figure out that snow + cold = black ice or just forgot about it since last year at this time. And of course you have the good ol christmas parties.

I went to two christmas parties this weekend, one for Shapes...i laughed so hard i almost was cryin and then the next night to a get together for a few of us from work who miss out on the party that most of the people attended last week, i guess someone has to work when parties are being held right!!

All in all it was a good time, the ladies from shapes once again were out in full force, from stories to ideas to learning new things my blackberry does, i don't think i have ever learned so much at a christmas party before!

This is another Snow Baby that i have purchased in the past for my mom's collection! Last year she asked for a snowbaby snow globe, and i was able to find one on ebay so it is wrapped and under the tree waiting for her to open!! Can't wait to see her expression!

Unthawing....

Well i have officially made the decision that i am moving to Hawaii. I think i can handle the rain more then the cold. I can't seem to warm up ever, it is not good, ok i did warm up when i was teaching classes but that was two hours of working out to get the sweat to drip. I must be cold blooded or something.
I wonder how Santa handles all this cold up in the north pole. I must write to him and ask.

It is only two weeks away from Christmas and i am getting more and more out the of christmas spirit? I am not really sure why, i don't feel like going out to buy presents i don't feel like making stuff, i am just in a slump, maybe the cold has frozen my desire to be creative and enjoy christmas....that is not cool.

Tomorrow i am going to see what i can find for gifts for my brothers, it doesn't help that i have to find a birthday gift too cause one of my brothers is born just before christmas! I recieved wish lists from my family members, and all i see is these big luxury items that i can't afford to buy, so i have resorted to buying things they will use, for ex. my little brother is getting a case of Kraft Dinner, at least he will not go hungry for 12 days!!hahaha

F...F....F...Freezing

Here is one of my favorite ornaments from the snowbaby collection i have started for my mom!!

OH MY winter has once again came over the city like a freezing cold blanket. I am wanting to spend every moment tucked in to my nice warm bed and not have to get out until spring comes along! I WISH!!

Well life goes on, even though things are becoming a little tougher to tolerate out side in this weather!

I am really trying to get in to the whole christmas buying thing, but i just seem to be spending more and more money on things that i like and not so much on everyone else! But i guess if i have no ideas for other people then it is a bit tougher to decide what to get for others!

I have a christmas party next weekend, mayebe that will help me out a little and get me more in the mood, but knowing that i have to work christmas just makes it all a little less appealing! But i do get to have a bit of time off after christmas to reconnect with family and friends, and hopefully spend some time shopping (SALES!!!) and visiting with old friends i haven't gotten to see in a while!

I have many ideas for things to do with my time, just never enough time to do them all in!

I definately have to get a pedicure too, i have seen the pics posted on my friends blogs and i love their toes, they are soooo cute i have to get myself done!! Some thing to look forward to, where my feet will be very very warm, at least while they are soaking!!

I must start organizing a few gifts so off to the spare room to see what wrapping adventures await!!

not enough hours in the day...

WOW i can't believe that i have had the past two days off of work and i have been so busy that I have no idea where the time when. Although i had a great two days off it just never seems long enough.

I was able to catch up with a couple of my girlfriends, and even went to a doctors appt. with my friend to make sure her baby is growing well!! I found it so amazing and interesting, i can definately see myself wanting a job in that area in the future, i think it would be amazing to watch babies develop and see the reactions of couples anxiously waiting for their little ones to be born! Listen to me, I am already looking for a new job and i just accepted a new position at work....hahahaha so much opportunity to explore in this career!!

Finally starting to get in to the christmas spirit!! YEAH who am i kidding i LOVE christmas, i have had my tree up for almost two weeks and there are wrapped presents underneath!! I have to have the full effect!! Here is a pic from last christmas at my parents house! I remember hauling the loads and loads of presents i had brought home with me, my car was much lighter on the way home, not to mention the gas milage was so much better coming back!! haha

I am working nights this christmas, so while everyone is falling fast asleep and dreaming of sugar plums, i will be wishing i was at home, sleeping and waking up christmas morning with my family. But then again i do get to wake everyone up bright and early, and then i get to sleep all day!!

The count down is on til Santa arrives!!!

coupon crazyness

OK so i just got home from a morning of checking out stores and ideas for christmas. Lots of people around buying things, screaming kids in the mall, people bumping in to you everywhere! And i thought that you only found things like that at the mall. WAS I WRONG. I ventured on to Michaels Craft store, and the parking lot was over flowing with people i was like are you serious what is going on, i have never seen that many people at the store. So i don't really think twice about going in, as i walk through the door, the line ups are unbelieveable. I would guess probably 40 - 50 people deep, and there are four lines like that! It was insane, i couldn't even guess how long it would take to get through the register, so i quickly put whatever i had in my hands back and left. Coupons for 25% my purchase couldn't even keep in the store to stand in those lines. I just hope this is not a preview of what is to come before christmas!

time flies

Well, well once again i have neglected to write in over a week, somedays time just flies by and i don't seem to have enough time to get all the things i want to get in done in that one day. I have been busy, working nights, but now back to days and maybe i will feel more and more like a human as the next three weeks go by!
I am happy to report that i am in the Christmas spirit though!! I have decorated my christmas tree and even wrapped a few gifts to put under the tree so it makes it even more festive, ( i am going to put a small one up upstairs too) and put out the stockings for santa to fill, i am going to be sitting down to write my letter to santa probably tomorrow (aka. my mom and dad, and my brothers) I received my little brothers letter to Santa the other day, and found out that he told Santa that my name could be found on the NAUGHTY list?!? I just can't beleive it, after all the things i have done for that kid and that is how i get repaid. Unbelieveable! So i will make sure that there is a wrapped lump of coal under the tree for that kid (or a case of Kraft Dinner) kinda the same thing to me!! haha I also found a huge rubber maid tub of presents that i had bought last year for stocking stuffers and things that i completely forgot about! SO i was awesome going through things and seeing what i had that i could cross off my list for this year!!
I went to a couple craft shows last weekend with my friend Kyla, I have to say i was kinda more into the crafts at the first show we went to and not the Signatures Craft Show, there were nice things to be found, but i guess i was just looking for something more. But i yet have to find that something more! I guess now i am hoping to get down to the states for a little shopping so i can have a few suprise presents under the tree! (I just love the reaction on peoples faces!!) (oh and the gift wrapping of everything that is my favorite part!!
Just think christmas is less then a month away!

In one ear out the other...

So i have to get this off my chest. I was teaching a fitness class this morning, and i tell the participants for safety reasons not to put their equipment away during class. You have to sign up for the class and it is an hour long, and i do get everyone through the workout with in the hour so they are able to put the equipment away and get on with their day and they are not having to stay for more then the hour that they signed up for.
Well this morning i had a participant that came up to me, told me she had to leave early and that she knows she is not supposed to put her equipment away until the end of the stretch track. SO i told her please find someone in the class to put your stuff away at the end of the class, just ask the person next to you or your friend if you came with one. Well what does she do....YEAH she starts to put her equipment away between tracks and completely ignores what i had told her when she came to me at the beginning of class. I stated "please do not put your equipment away" and she was completely oblivious to anything i had to say, SO then other participants begin to put their equipment away....be this point i was about to flip. SO after repeating myself about 10 times, i think people began to get annoyed with those who were disobeying me!!
At the end of it all, i think grown adults need to remember their manners that they teach their children, AND have respect for others that are the same class as them.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH feels great to vent!!

Catching up...

SO i have been meaning to post a few pics of my recent road trip so lets see how this works!!

Lots and lots of flat flat land was most of what i saw during my four and half hour drive...

Of course i had to snap a quick picture of Happy Rock in Gladstone as i passed by!

Finally hitting the Sask boarder, it was about another hour and a bit to Yorkton, but by then i was so tired of driving i focused more on the gas pedal then on the scenery that i was passing, (and there was not much of it).

Of course once i got to my destination i could not put the camera down!

I have yet to figure out how to add pictures after i have typed everything. If you have suggestions/ tips please let me know and then i could post a few more things!

In need of a couple days off...

Well lately all i feel like i have been doing is working and sleeping. I am on nights right now, and so i sleep all day, and my most time off between shifts is two days. So basically i have one day off, cause i have to sleep after i get home, then i have one day off then the next day i have to sleep most of it so i can stay up all night! So for the past two weeks i feel like i haven't gotten that much accomplished.
On my last set of four days off i went to see my girlfreind in Yorkton and visit her and her new baby. OH MY GOSH he is so cute. I see cute babies everyday at work, but it is definately different when they are home and there are no monitors or cords or IV lines attached to them. Remindes that the little ones that go home, are much happier once they leave the nursery!!
I have to say the drive to Yorkton is really, really well....boring, there is nothing to look at and since you are in the gap (aka Sask) it is flat land and you see nothing around. I took pictures just so i could prove that there is nothing out there. hahaha
I did alot of lounging and cuddling with the baby, it was nice to get away from it all and not have any responsibility really! I also got to a few of my favorite stores out there. The plum tree, it has such nice stuff! and then my girlfreind took me to a little town of churchbridge and we went to this store that had all this different things, christmas stuff, unique things that you would not find every where else, wall decor, pictures, ornaments for chirstmas, jewellry, the place was just stacked with amazing stuff, i could have spent a whole day looking. I really wish we had a place like that in Winnipeg. If you know of any places please pass them on, they even had crafts and things, i was just in ahhh at how much stuff was in this store!
I had a great time and can't wait to go back!
I am going to crawl back in to bed i am back on the night shift!

SNOW DAY

Well i guess winter is once again upon us, i am really not very happy about this, i like the snow it is pretty at times, but i hate the cold. I am freezing cold all the time in the winter, my roomate feels like he lives in a sauna in the winter cause i have my heat so high, i don't think it is that but...but then again i hate to be cold.
But i am looking forward to a few things that winter does bring. The Santa Claus parade is next weekend, i have never been so i wouldn't mind going to see what it is all about, then the next weekend is Signatures Craft Show, which i am very very excited about i love craft shows, hope i can pick up a few more goodies for christmas gifts! And of course the best thing that the snow brings along with it is CHRISTMAS!! I am soooooooo excited for Christmas. I started my christmas shopping on boxing day last year, i have been collecting things all year just so i wouldn't have to max out the credit card once again this year. I have to admit i do go over board on a few things. my favorite thing to do is wrap gifts and make them look pretty. But once i hand them over to my brothers there is nothing left but torn up peices on the floor, and i am lucky if they even read the tag that is on it! But i do love to see there faces once they open there gifts!
So i guess the snow is not all that bad!!

kinda bad at this

so i have discovered that i am very bad at this idea of having a blog. I never seem to update anything. But part is to blame on my schedule, if it is between blogging or staying in bed for an extra five minutes my bed wins, i can't get enough sleep lately, and i know there are a few other people that know exactly what i am talking about.

I do have an idea for my next post i just have to figure out how to get the pictures on so the story makes sense!

maybe november will be a better month for me....

babies, babies, babies

I have to send out BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Two Peas In a Pod and Lindsey Bear who are both expecting! I couldn't be happier for the both of you.

I have many friends that are either expecting or just have delievered their bundles of joy! So i have been in to the baby gift shopping lately, there is so much cute stuff out there, it is almost overwhelming trying to pick something. But i don't even have to make the big decisions like colors of the nursery, furniture, possible nursery themes...ladies you have a lot to think about, but i know that each of your nurseries will be absolutely amazing! If you ever need a shopping partner i am up for the challenge, or i can also answer your questions about delivery....i have been in many delivery rooms, through the tears, the screaming and the pale daddys to be in the corner. It is an amazing experience to be a part of and i can't wait to hear the stories or hold a hand for a little while!

ups and downs

ahh the weekend is finally here, my week has been full of ups and downs, so i am hoping things will be a little more steady for the next couple of days at least! From seeing caridologists with my dad, to trying to cuddle my little ones at work thru tests and needle pokes and MRI tests, i am exhausted. It is definately time to get a little r & r before it starts all over again on monday!

my weekend plans aren't many, shopping maybe, a movie maybe, but i just would really like to spend the day in my pj's and not move to much! I know it is wishful thinking but someday it may happen!

crazy days

I have been back on the day shift for a total of one week now, i realize each shift why i enjoy my nights so much. The constant run around, doctors, physio, tests, and trips to different areas drains me. Plus with being short staffed most days it makes giving 100% to each of the babes i care for that much harder.
I often think that maybe a monday to friday job would be fablous, but i just don't think i could handle being at work for more then 3 days in a row! As bad as that sounds....it is true.

Trying something new...

So i have finally entered the world of blogging, after continually reading my friends blogs, i have decided this may be a way to keep in contact since my schedule changes so often and i feel like i am out of touch with everything going on. So here i am trying something new! I am going to try my best to post on a regular basis....fingers crossed!
